Edwin W. Finch, III, Founder, President & CEO, received his undergraduate degree in Economics and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia. He began his career as a Wall Street attorney, and later went on to become a partner with the law firm of Balch & Bingham in Birmingham. Mr. Finch has been actively involved in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate finance since 1970. In the past 35 years, his numerous transactions have ranged from the public sale of securities for start-up ventures as well as for large corporations, to mergers and acquisitions--involving both privately held businesses and publicly traded ones. Mr. Finch has served as a director of both public and private companies and has founded, owned and managed a number of companies, most recently Diversified Drilling Corporation, one of the largest water well drilling companies in the United States.
Michael G. Mahon, Associate, joined the firm in 2005. Mr. Mahon received his undergraduate degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia. He began his career as a top international representative for Vector Marketing Corporation and later became an Associate with New Capital Partners, a Birmingham-based private equity firm. During his career Mr. Mahon has worked closely with entrepreneurs and evaluated companies ranging from startup ventures to well established privately held businesses.
Paula M. Polinski, Executive Assistant and Office Manager, joined the firm in 2008. Mrs. Polinski received her undergraduate degree in Art and Education from Mundelein College in Chicago, Illinois and her Masters Degree in Administration from Samford University. She is the Executive Assistant to Mr. Finch and Office Manager for FHL.
